Cinematic Tools<\/strong> es un nuevo upgrade que estamos ofreciendo a nuestros clientes que optan por un servicio de video de bodas mucho mas “cinematic”. Ademas de hacer una mejora notable en los equipos que utilizamos a diferencia del servicio , uno de los puntos mas importantes de este upgrade es el formato de grabaci\u00f3n (y aca es donde todo se vuelve mucho mas tecnico todo) ya que dejamos el formato comprimido MP4 o MOV por un formato de grabaci\u00f3n RAW. Cinematic Tools<\/strong> is a new upgrade for our clients who choose a wedding video more “cinematic”. We made a big upgrade to the equipments we use for do Wedding Video, but the most import upgrade is the record format we will use, because we leave the compressed MP4 or MOV format by a RAW video format. Hablemos de Formatos:<\/strong>
\nPara poder grabar en formato RAW es necesaria la utilizaci\u00f3n de pantallas Atomos Ninja Inferno (usamos 2) y en materia de tomas a\u00e9reas hacemos un upgrade de drone de DJI Phantom 4 PRO a DJI Inspire 2 + DJI X5s con lo que grabaremos en formato Apple ProRes (o aveces CinemaDNG). Absolutamente todas las tomas seran realizadas en 4k, pero no necesariamente entregaremos el producto en ese tama\u00f1o sino que en 1080p. Que tiene de maravilloso el formato con el que grabamos? Principalmente dejamos de usar un formato super comprimido como el convencional por Apple ProRes y elevamos el bitrate (cantidad de bits por segundo) de 70mb\/s a 400mb\/s (y en algunos casos 4GB\/s), mejoramos el rango dinamico y lo mas importante: grabamos en 10 bit de color<\/strong>.
\nOk, todo esto es muy tecnico, pero vamos a explicarlo mejor. El sistema de BlueRay trabaja en 8bit de color, eso viene a ser algo asi como 16millones de colores, nosotros estaremos grabando con una profundidad de color de 10bit que es 1 billon de colores (si, leiste bien, 1.000 millones de colores). Y porque hariamos esto? Tendremos un control mayor y la posibilidad de una colorizaci\u00f3n much\u00edsimo mas profunda.<\/p>\n

\nLets talk about format:<\/strong>
\nFor record in RAW format we use Atomos Ninja Inferno recorder screens (we use 2) and in the aerial shoots we made the upgrade from DJI Phantom 4 PRO to DJI Inspire 2 + DJI X5s so we will record Apple ProRes (and some times CinemaDNG). All the cameras record in 4k, but we dont delivery in that size (1080p). Why is so interesting this format? Because we let the use the standar compressed format with the Apple ProRes, we elevate the bitrate (quantity of bits by second) from 70mb\/s to 400mb\/s, we improve the dinamic range and the most important: we record in 10 bit of color.
\n<\/strong>All of this is to much technic, let me explain better. The BlueRay works in 8bit of color, that is 16 millon of colors; we will record in 10bit of color, this is 1 billon of colors (yes, you read well 1.000 millon of colors). And why we will do that? Whit this we will have a more deep colorization, and that is the key.<\/p>\n

Esto no significa que el formato de grabaci\u00f3n standar sea malo, sino que es comprimido y mucho mas limitado. Pero no es solo soft y formatos, tambien hacemos un gran upgrade en relaci\u00f3n a los equipos que llevamos para cubrir una boda.<\/p>\n

Los mas llamativos son por excelencia el drone DJI Inspire 2 + camara X5s, verlo en el aire es todo un show, pero lo mas importante es lo que el puede producir desde el aire: Todas las imagenes que este drone puede lograr son CinemaDNG 5.2k y un bitrate de 4.2GB\/s (si, leiste bien 4,2 gigas por segundo) y un rango dinamico hermoso. Por supuesto que dependiendo el tipo de boda incluso hasta llevamos dos drones (un para el previo y la recepcion; y el otro para la ceremonia). All this dont means the standar format is a bad choose, nothing of that… but the other is not to limited like the standar. But Cinematic Tools<\/strong> isnt only edition and software, we made a big upgrade of equipment to cover the wedding.<\/p>\n

The most striking are the drone DJI Inspire 2 + X5s camera, see this in the air is a big show, but the most important is what this drone can do in the sky: All the images are Cinema DNG 5.2k and 4.2GB\/s bitrate (yes, four point 2 Gigas every second) and a beauty dinamic range. Of course depending on the type of wedding we even carry two drones (one for the previous and the reception, and the other for the ceremony). La otra herramienta que hacemos un gran upgrade es el gimbal, que de usar el DJI Osmo PRO + Camara DJI X5, llevamos dos realmente (aveces hasta tres) y son un DJI Ronin M + Lumix GH5s + Atomos Ninja Inferno y un PilotFly H2-45 + Lumix GH5s. Tanto el Ronin como el PilotFly son los que nos permitir\u00e1n hacer tomas en movimiento sin que exista ninguna vibraci\u00f3n en la camara y asi poder producir imagenes mucho mas cinematogr\u00e1ficas. Dependiendo la cantidad de personal que llevemos a la boda, hay casos donde incluso en la ceremonia utilizamos una de estas herramientas.<\/p>\n

The other tool that we do a great upgrade is the gimbal. Original we use the DJI Osmo PRO + Camara DJI X5 and we carry two new gimbals (sometimes up to three): The DJI Ronin M + Lumix GH5s + Atomos Ninja Inferno and a PilotFly H2- 45 + Lumix GH5s. Both the Ronin and the PilotFly will allow us to take shots in motion without any vibration in the camera and produce\u00a0 cinematographic images. Depending on the amount of staff we bring to the wedding there are cases where even in the ceremony we use one of these tools.<\/p>\n

\nHablemos de audio:<\/strong>
\nUna pregunta recurrente de las novias es si grabamos los votos y\/o speachs o por que no son incluidos en los Short-Films. El audio es una parte fundamental para mi en todas las bodas y es por eso que cada camara que utilizamos lleva un microfono RODE para tener audio de aire. Para el momento de los speachs usamos grabadores digitales ZOOM H4n<\/strong>, que conectados con la consola del DJ, nos permitira tener el audio mas claro y limpio. Pero como si esto fuera poco, y solo por las dudas, en el momento de la ceremonia le colocaremos al novio un peque\u00f1o transmisor con microfono Sennheiser ew 100 G3 con el que podremos obtener otro canal de audio solo si algo sale mal con la consola del DJ (unicamente en la ceremonia). Resumiendolo, si grabamos audio, y si no estan en los Short-Film es porque la novia decidi\u00f3 una version mas artistica solo con musica para ese tipo de video y contrato un Feature-Film o un Video Lineal y decidio que sean incluidos alli. Pero si, se pueden colocar los Speachs o votos en el Short-Film de solicitarlo.<\/p>\n

\n

Let’s talk about audio:<\/strong>
\nA recurring question for brides is if we record the vows and \/ or speachs or why they are not included in the Short-Films. Audio is a fundamental part for me in all weddings and that is why every camera have a RODE microphone to take air audio. For the speachs and vows we use ZOOM H4n<\/strong> digital recorders connected to the DJ’s console. Also, at the ceremony we will place in the jacket of the groom a small Sennheiser ew 100 G3<\/strong> microphone transmitter to obtain another audio channel only if something goes wrong with the console. So yes, we record audio, and if they are not in the Short-Film is because the bride decided a more artistic version only with music and contract a Feature-Film or a Linear Video and decided that they are included there. But yes, Speachs or vows can be placed in the Short-Film.<\/p>\n

Por ultimo pero no menos importante, en una boda sin Cinematic Tools<\/strong> generalmente generamos algo asi como 300GB de material en total, pero en las bodas que lo usamos, y debido a los formatos de grabado que utilizamos, cada camara genera algo asi como 1.2TB por lo que al final del proyecto tenemos solo en material crudo unos 3TB. Es por ello que para poder realizar estas grabaciones llevamos a la boda diferentes discos SSD que nos permiten grabar en estos formatos tan pesados, pero lo mas importante esta cuando llegamos al estudio; ya que si no fuera por los servidores QNAP TVS-1282t3<\/em> con 64GB de ram (click aqui<\/a> <\/strong>para ver un post sobre la velocidad de este server) y un total de 200TB de espacio seria completamente imposible poder almacenar y procesar las bodas que hacemos con este sistema; sin dejar de lado el complejo sistema de backups diarios automaticos que tenemos en el estudio (cosa que hablare en otro post mas adelante)<\/p>\n

Last but not least, in a wedding without Cinematic Tools<\/strong> we generally generate something like 300GB of material in total, but in weddings we use it, each camera generates something like 1.2TB so at the end of the project we have only about 3TB in raw material. That is why in order to make these recordings we take to the wedding different SSD discs that allow us to record in these heavy formats, but the most important thing is when we arrive at the studio; because if we dont have the servers QNAP TVS-1282t3<\/strong> with 64GB of ram (click aqui<\/a><\/strong> to see a post about the speed of this server) and a total of 200TB of space it would be completely impossible to store and process the weddings we make with this system; without leaving aside the complex system of automatic daily backups that we have in the studio (which I will talk in another post later)<\/p>\n

Mas sobre Video de Bodas:\r\nActualmente ofrecemos cuatro tipos de Videos de Boda.\r\nTeaser Video: Este es tal vez el video mas artistico de los que producimos. Entregaremos un video musicalizado de 1 minuto donde las emociones son la base de la historia.\r\nShort-Film: Nos encargamos de capturar en video los momentos de la organizaci\u00f3n de la boda, la preparaci\u00f3n del novio, novia e invitados, parte de la ceremonia y parte de la recepci\u00f3n. Con el material obtenido crearemos un video Short-Film de 3 a 4 minutos musicalizado.\r\nWedding Feature Film: Este es un servicio adicional al Wedding Video. Entregaremos un video musicalizado de 10 a 15 minutos incluyendo speech\u2019s de la ceremonia y mucho mas contenido que no entro en el Wedding Video Short-Film.\r\nVideo Lineal: Si quieres un vide documental de la ceremonia donde se tendr\u00e1n los momentos de la organizaci\u00f3n, la preparaci\u00f3n del novio, novia e invitados, la ceremonia completa y los momentos mas importantes de la recepci\u00f3n, speechs, etc, entonces lo que necesitas es como adicional el Video Lineal. Este video ademas de ser much\u00edsimo mas largo, todo el contenido mantiene una linea de tiempo real, lo que significa que todas las escenas ir\u00e1n por orden cronol\u00f3gico, en cuanto a la duraci\u00f3n de este video, si la ceremonia dura 30 minutos se podr\u00eda estar hablando de un video de al menos 40 o 50 minutos. El tiempo de entrega de este material es de hasta 6 meses despu\u00e9s de haber entregado el Teaser y el Short-Film.<\/pre>\n
